Night Exposure!

This was a really fun project I did tonight with my dad's recently redone John Deere 110 Round Fender tractor! Through many prolonged exposures and the use of a flashlight and lots of post processing, I was able to create the above picture! There are a few things I would have done differently looking back, but for my first time, I'm definitely pleased with the way it turned out!

The process:

First I set up the whole scene during the late evening, just before dark.

I grabbed a quick picture of the sunset and then waited for it do get darker.

Once it was dark enough I began taking long exposure pictures(4 sec.(100 ISO & 6.3 f-stops)). During the exposure time I waved the flashlight around on certain areas, gradually lighting up the whole scene.

After I had all the pictures taken it was time for the post processing. This just takes a lot of adding layers and erasing unwanted parts of those layers. For the process I used Gimp, but any photoshop-like program should work. In the end, I came up with the original picture!

I had so much fun doing this and can't wait to do it again some time!

Interesting Focal Points. . .

Got some really cool zoomed in pictures of sap dripping from a tree in my yard! I love this new lens extension I have that magnifies things! So cool! :0 haha Hope you guys enjoy!

Mustang GT Photoshoot!

Took a bunch of pictures of specifically round objects on my dad's Mustang GT today!

It's really cool to take a series of "themed" pictures!

Fire and Water

So, we built a fire the other day, and when it got really huge, there were two things we needed: one was water, cause it was kinda singeing our grass.... and the other was my camera! :) I hope you like these pictures!  Thanks for reading! Until next time! :)

Dodge Viper Model Car Build!

Well, I finally got pictures of that Dodge Viper that I actually finished before the Superbird.

This one is definitely not my best work(save the interior and engine). But we live and we learn!

I painted it gloss black(which is a really hard color to spray paint may I just say! I'd suggest getting LOTS of practice before painting an actual car.) I actually stripped the paint twice I think before finishing it, and it still didn't turn out very well... The inside I painted a mix of gloss, flat, and semi-gloss black and gloss blue. Same colors for the engine. Well, here are some more pictures! Let me know what you think!
